TVS Phoenix lies in the 125 cc segment of motorcycles which means that they have to be good looking than a regular commuter motorcycle. Phoenix headlamp cluster is wide and has a all day running pilot LED lamps along with the headlamps. The instrument cluster is fully digitalis-ed and has bar graph speedometer, low battery and service due indicator lamps along with a digital fuel meter, but there is no tachometer in the motorcycle. The front of the Phoenix has resemblance to that of the TVS star city.
The fuel tank looks completely different from rest of the TVS products it has funky new graphics on the tank. The fuel tank can hold 12 litres of petrol. The seat is pretty comfortable and the wide handlebars ensures upright seating position which is ideal for city rides. The switches are placed in a proper manner but the engine kill switch is missing in the phoenix which is also necessary for this segment instead it has a hazard warning switch.
The black six spoke allow wheels has a 240mm dia petal disc in the front, and the engine is also painted in black to give it a stylish upmarket look. Overall the Phoneix has nothing extra to boast about it just looks like an other ordinary commuter motorcycle.

The suspension system can absorb pot holes with ease. The seat is soft and the riding position is upright and does not cause any trouble to the riders anatomy.
Phoenix is a commuter motorcycle and with the hike in the fuel prices everyone will have the same question in mind that how much will these return to a Litre after all this is a commuter motorcycle. TVS claims that phoenix will return 67 km to a litre and the bike have a range of 600 Km+ with its tank full.
The Phoenix uses 240 MM disc in the front and 130 mm dia drum brakes at the rear which helps the commuter to come to a halt. The braking power is impressive in the Phoenix. The tyres also provide good amount of grip on the tarmac but if TVS could have used tubeless tyres for its motorcycle it would have given more premium class feel to the motorcycle.
Pricing
TV phoenix is priced at RS.52,905(Ex-showroom Delhi).
Competition
TVS Phoenix will face steep competition from Yamaha Galdiator which is another commuter from Yamaha, Honda stunner and Hero Motocorp Glamour this motorcycles also has similar features and same amount of power delivery and all of them falls under the commuter segment of motorcycles.
Conclusion
TVS Phoenix
India has recently seen lots of motorcycles in the commuter segment TVS Phoenix is also one of them, this motorcycle has a smooth engine and many premium features but still somewhere it lags the premium feel. TVS claimed that the motorcycle will return 67 km to a litre it will show its real characteristics when it will be put to real test. The motorcycle has been priced aggressively in the Indian market but it will have to fight the glory and good reputation of Honda Shine and Hero glamour to make its mark.
